What is happening?

BATH & NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL

(THTTC4239 CHURCH LANE, EAST HARPTREE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Church Lane, East Harptree from its junction with Silver Trees extending south to a point outside the property known as Ashleigh. USRN: 47902575.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable National Grid to install a new overhead connection from the 7th July 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 08:30-13:30hrs.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Gladstone Street, Welton, Midsomer Norton from a point outside property number 11 extending west to a point outside property number 15. USRN: 47903378.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to carry out ducting works and recover pole from the 8th July 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for TWO DAYS.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Gladstone Street (remainder) – Millard’s Hill – A362 – Belle Vue – Gladstone Street – vice versa.
