What is happening?

CITY OF BRISTOL

RALEIGH ROAD AREA, PROHIBITIONS OF LEFT TURN,
PROHIBITIONS OF ENTRY, WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND PARKING PLACES – TRAFFIC ORDERS

The City Council of Bristol hereby gives NOTICE it proposes to make the following traffic orders to regulate vehicles in the Southville Collection development, which will be located at the former Amerind Grove Nursing Home site:-

A. Ref No. CAE/RGW/P-1364A – the City Council of Bristol (Cavendish Street, Elmtree Road and Raleigh Road, Bedminster and Southville Wards, City of Bristol) (Prohibition of Left Turn) (Prohibition of Entry) Order 202-, the effect of which would be:-

1. to prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Raleigh Road from entering Cavendish Street or Elmtree Road; and

2. to introduce prohibited left turns from Cavendish Street or Elmtree Road into Raleigh Road.

B. Ref No. CAE/RGW/P-1364B – the City Council of Bristol (Southville Area, Bedminster and Southville Wards, City of Bristol) (Residents’ Parking Area) (On-Street Parking Places) (Prohibition of Waiting and Stopping) Order 202-, the effect of which would be:-

1. to replace Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm shared use permit parking and/or (3 hours maximum stay) pay and display parking places in Greenway Bush Lane and Raleigh Road with prohibitions of waiting at any time; and

2. to revise Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm permit parking places in Raleigh Road.

Further details of all the proposals are contained in the draft orders, which together with plans, a copy of the order to be revoked and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the orders may be inspected at the Citizen Service Point, 100 Temple Street, Bristol, BS1 6AG between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Monday to Friday. The draft orders, plans and Statement of Reasons are also available to view on the City Council website at www.bristol.gov.uk/trafficorders

How to object
Objections to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing to TRO Comments at the undermentioned address or by e-mail to tro.comments@bristol.gov.uk  quoting the relevant reference number by 24th July 2026. 

Please include your name and address and note that all representations received may be considered in public by the City Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.
