Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 16 (A-C) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, has made the above Order to facilitate the Discovery Triathlon.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Cow Watering Lane, Writtle in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 443 metres west of its junction with Lordship Road westwards to a point approximately 730 metres northeast of its junction with Victoria Road.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 05 July 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 09:00am until 4pm or where appropriate signs are showing, and weather permitting and is required to facilitate the Discovery Triathlon.
The alternative route will be via Cow Watering Lane, Lordship Road, Ongar Road, Victoria Road, Cow Watering Lane and vice versa.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 05 July 2026 and may continue in force for 3 days unless extended by the Secretary of State.

(TemporaryProhibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Anchor Reach, South Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 40m south west of its junction with Quarter Gate for a distance of approximately 25m in a south westerly then south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2026 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGGDPT7X – Openreach Limited).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boreham Road, Great Leighs in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 330m north west then north east of its junction with Fullers Street for a distance of approximately 60m in a north easterly then north westerly direction.
