(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Downs Road between Woodend and Stoke Road.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst electrical works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 8 July 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is proposed works will start on or after 8 July 2026 and will take 2 weeks to complete.

NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of their powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, WSCC, propose to make a permanent Order the effect of which will be to:-

(i)   extend the length of prohibition of waiting at any time (double yellow lines) on the east side of Whyke Road, Chichester north of the junction with Quarry Lane by 15M; and

(ii)  extend the length of double yellow lines on the south side of East Street, Selsey between Croft Road and Otard Close; and

(iii) introduce a 9M length of double yellow lines on the south side of East Street, Selsey from a point 21M east of the double yellow lines at the junction with Croft Road; and

(iv) extend the lengths of double yellow lines on Church Road Selsey east of the junction with High Street on the north side by 14M and on the south side by 43M.
