U112 WELL ROAD TWEEDMOUTH
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U112 Well Road Tweedmouth from its junction with Mount Road heading in a north westerly direction for a length of 65 metres in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 21st July 2026 until the 31st July 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 21st July 2026 between the hours of 09:30 until 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st July 2026.
There is no alternative route available for use whilst the TTRO is in force.

U114 HIGHCLIFFE FOOTWAY
(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland.
• Outside the gable end of number 154 Highcliffe heading in a south westerly direction for a length of 20 metres, continuing on in a southerly direction for a length of 32 metres.
It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 27th July 2026 until the 14th August 2026 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st March 2027.
• Outside the gable end of number 93 Highcliffe heading in a southerly direction for a length of 28 metres continuing on in a south easterly direction for a length of 140 metres up to the rear of 107 Highcliffe. It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 10th August 2026 until the 28th August 2026 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st March 2027.
• Outside the front of 318 Highcliffe heading in a southwesterly direction for a length of 73 metres. It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 17th August 2026 until the 7th September 2026 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st March 2027.
• Outside the gable end of number 14 Highcliffe heading in a north easterly direction for a length of 23 metres. It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 1st September 2026 until the 21st September 2026 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st March 2027.
• Outside number 324 Highcliffe heading in a northwesterly direction for a length of 165 metres. It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 1st September 2026 until the 21st September 2026 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st March 2027.
• Outside the rear of number 54 Highcliffe heading in a north westerly direction for a length of 50 metres. It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 21st September 2026 until the 9th October 2026 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st March 2027.
• Outside the rear of number 45 Highcliffe heading in a south easterly direction for a length of 25 metres. It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 28th September 2026 until the 16th October 2026 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st March 2027.
• Outside the front of number 92 Highcliffe heading in a
westerly direction for a length of 38 metres. It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 12th October 2026 until the 30th October 2026 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st March 2027.
• Outside the rear of number 145 Highcliffe heading in a south westerly direction for a length of 53 metres. It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 16th November 2026 until the 4th December 2026 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st March 2027.
The Order is to be effective from the 27th July 2026 until the 31st March 2027.
A signed alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U111 EASTERN LANE BERWICK-UPON-TWEED
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U111 Eastern Lane Berwick-upon-Tweed from its junction with the C424 heading in a south westerly direction for a length of 38 metres in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 23rd July 2026 until the 30th July 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 23rd July 2026 between the hours of 09:00 until 13:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 30th July 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being Easter Wynd, West Street, Bridge Street, Hide Hill and Marygate and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U37 FENKLE STREET HOLY ISLAND
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U37 Fenkle Street from outside the front of Garden Cottage heading in a southerly direction for a length of 5 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 13th July 2026 until the 17th July 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 13th July 2026 until the 15th July 2026 between the hours of 08:00 until 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 17th July 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being Marygate, Crossgate Lane, Market Place, Fenkle Street and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SECTION 16A
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, has on the 25 June 2026 made the Northumberland County Council Norham Rideout 2026 Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2026 (“the TTRO”).
The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Norham Rideout 2026 (“the Event”) by restricting traffic on The B6470 Norham to county boundary and the B6470 West Street from the county boundary to its junction with Castle Street for 1,145 Metres (“Road One”), the C1 Norham to Velvet Hall from its junction with the B6470 to its junction with Cross View for 105 Metres (“Road Two”), the B3470 West Street and the B6470 Saluation Pub junction to Norham from its junction with the C1 heading south-east for 475 metres (“Road Three”), the A698 Cornhill to Wideopen Plantation junction from 1,022 metres south-west of Tillmouth Village Hall (“Road Four”), the A698 Cornhill to Wideopen Plantation junction, the A698 Main Street Cornhill and theA698 County Boundary to Cornhill from its junction with the U39 Green Lane to County Boundary for 2,030 metres (“Road Five”) (“Road One, Road Two, Road Three, Road Four and Road Five shall together be known as the Road”). The TTRO shall come into force at the following times, subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act:
• In respect of Road One, 17:40 hours on 03 August2026 and will remain in force until 18:10 hours on 03 August 2026;
• In respect of Road Two, 18:00 hours on 03 August2026 and will remain in force until 19:00 hours on 03 August 2026;
• In respect of Road Three, 18:50 hours on 03 August2026 and will remain in force until 19:20 hours on 03 August 2026;
• In respect of Road Four, 20:00 hours on 03 August2026 and will remain in force until 20:30 hours on 03 August 2026; and
• In respect of Road Five, 20:30 hours on 03 August2026 and will remain in force until 21:00 hours on 03 August 2026.
There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO, however the Road will be re-opened as the Event passes through.
All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary.
Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:
a. Any activities taking place on the Road related to the organisation and holding of the Event;
b. Anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police officer or a Duly Authorised Officer of the Council.
c. Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of, the emergency services;
d. Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road); or
e. Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.
