What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford made the City Of Salford (London Road And Broughton Street, Salford) (Prohibition Of Waiting) Order 2026.

under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to introduce No Waiting at Any Time on: Seaford Rd - East side From a point 20 meters north of the northerly projected kerbline of Coniston Street, to a point 10 metres south of the southerly projected kerbline of Coniston Street. From a point 5 meters south of the southerly projected kerbline of Welford Street, for a distance of 26 meters in a southerly direction. City Of Salford (Broughton Road And London Street, Salford) (School Keep Clear Markings) Order 2026

Proposed School Keep Clear on: The Albion Academy - Broughton Road, North East side from a point 4 meters north west from the north westerly projected kerbline of Broughton Road East for a distance of 25.56 meters in a north westerly direction. London Street, East side from a point 2 meters south of the south westerly projected kerbline of Mark Avenue, for a distance of 25.56 meters in a northerly direction. The Order will come into operation on the 2nd July 2026. A copy of the Orders and plans will be available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm to Fri inclusive. Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be requested at phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or by writing to Fiona Ledden, City Solicitor PO BOX 532, Town Hall, Manchester M60 2LA quoting reference L/GS/ SCC006/01260 If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks from 30th June 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
