(PRIMROSE LANE, CALDER GROVE, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 202) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for remedial works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Primrose Lane, Calder Grove, Wakefield from the junction of Denby Dale Road to outside number 1b. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Primrose Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Hollin Lane, Denby Dale Road, Primrose Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 6th July 2026 to 8th July 2026, 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Residents access and access for emergency vehicles to be maintained. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for a new water supply to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Thornhill Street, Wakefield outside number 2. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Thornhill Street.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for Network Rail vegetation works and installation of anti vandal palisade fencing to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Balne Lane, Wakefield outside number 4 to junction of Cliff Park Avenue. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Balne Lane.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to undertake fibre cable from telegraph pole to telegraph pole using mobile elevated work platform to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Wood Lane, Overton for approximately 500 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Wood Lane.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hill Top Road, Newmillerdam from the junction with Barnsley Road to Hill Top Court. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hill Top Road.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to install new water main to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Cross Hands Lane, Wragby from Doncaster Road to Went Lane, full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Cross Hands Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Went Lane, Ackworth

Road, Purston Lane, Pontefract Road, Barnsley Road, Wakefield Road, Doncaster Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 18th July 2026 to 2nd August 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(WATERTON ROAD, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 216) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for water valve works to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Waterton Road, Wakefield from number 48 to the junction with George A Green Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Waterton Road. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: George A Green Road, Dewsbury Road, Townley Road, Waterton Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 21st July 2026 at 09.30 hours to 29th July 2026 at 15.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 217) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to locate and clear blockages on existing Openreach network for the roll out of fibre to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Molly Hurst Lane, Woolley from outside Yew Tree House to the junction with Church Street. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Molly Hurst Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion. No through road, escorted access for residents will be provided.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 20th July 2026 to 22nd July 2026 between 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours and will be removed when not in use, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 218) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for Northern Powergrid to repair public lighting cable fault to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Ings Road, Wakefield at the railway bridge at the side of Halfords. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Ings Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Ings Road, Kirkgate.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th July 2026 between 06.30 hours and 17.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 219) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to locate and clear blockages on existing Openreach network for the roll out of fibre to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Finkle Street, Woolley from outside Hunters Lodge to the junction with High Street. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Finkle Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: High Street, The Green, Backhouse Lane, Finkle Street & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 20th July 2026 to 22nd July 2026 between 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours and will be removed when not in use, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
