What is happening?

ABERDEENSHIRE COUNCIL

B9031 – TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

“The Aberdeenshire Council (B9031 Fraserburgh to Pennan Road - 08.07.26) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2026” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984. The order will operate from 08.07.26 for 21 days and will prohibit any person from driving on the B9031 Fraserburgh to Pennan Road from north of Pennan crossroads to New Aberdour.

Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.

The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety during work for a telecom company.

An alternative route is available via the via B9031 to A98 at Mid Ardlaw Cottage towards Macduff to B9031 and vice versa.
