Notice Of Intention - (Various Roads, Howlands (South), Welwyn Garden City) (Prohibition Of Stopping And Waiting On Verge Or Footway) Order 202X - The Borough Of Welwyn Hatfield (Various Roads, Howlands (South), Welwyn Garden City) (Restriction Of Waiting) Order 202X

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council (pursuant to arrangement made with Hertfordshire County Council) proposes to make the above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to introduce restrictions in Various Roads, Howlands, Welwyn Garden City, as specified in the Schedules to this Notice.

A copy of the draft Orders and associated documents may be viewed at: https://www.welhat.gov.uk/parking-consultations, or upon appointment during reception opening hours, at: Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, The Campus, Welwyn Garden City, from Wednesday 1 July 2026.

Objections to the proposals must be made in writing via post or email: parkingservices@welhat.gov.uk, to Geoff Sampson, Council Offices, The Campus, Welwyn Garden City, Herts, AL8 6AE, by Thursday 23 July 2026, stating the grounds on which they are made.

SCHEDULE 1: No stopping or waiting at any time on verge or footway - those sections of roads listed below as set out in the Order and accompanying plans.

Parts of Archers Ride, Autumn Grove, Beehive Green, Beehive Lane, Birds Close, Caponfield, Cole Green Lane, Hall Grove, Hillside, Homestead Lane, Howicks Green, Howlands, Little Thistle, Marley Road, Moorlands, Sheepcote, The Commons, Thistle Grove, Thumbswood.

SCHEDULE 2: No Waiting at any time (double yellow lines) - those sections of roads listed below as set out in the Order and accompanying plans.

Parts of Aldock, Archers Ride, Beehive Green, Beehive Lane, Birds Close, Boxfield, Caponfield, Cole Green Lane, Desborough Close, Hall Grove, Hillside, Holwell Hyde Lane, Homestead Court, Homestead Lane, Howlands, Little Thistle, Moorend, Moorlands, Moorside, Sheepcote, The Commons, The Jennings, The Linches, The Pastures, Thistle Grove, Thumbswood, West Mead.
