Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council propose to make an order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to amend the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 to include amendments to parking restrictions (yellow lines) on Bishops Road, Cleeve, North Somerset. The extent of the proposals are described in the Schedule to this notice. Schedule - Part 3: Prohibition and Restriction or Waiting, Stopping, Loading and Unloading - No Waiting at Any Time: Bishops Road, Cleeve - double yellow lines on the southwest side of the road to be extended approximately 20m northwest from those in place at the junction with A370 Main Road to the bus cage (plan reference: CLMH-BSIP-G1-B-DP-H-0202). Bishops Road, Cleeve - double yellow lines on the northwest side of the road to be extended approximately 51m northwest from those in place at the junction with A370 Main Road to the bus cage (plan reference: CLMH-BSIP-G1-B-DP-H-0202).

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council propose to make an order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order shall be to amend the North Somerset Council (Speed Limit Restrictions, North Somerset Consolidation Order 2024 to alter the speed restrictions on A370 Main Road, Cleeve, Cleeve Hill Road, Cleeve and the Layby off A370 Main Road, Cleeve. The extent of the proposals are described in the Schedule to this Notice.

A370 Main Road, Cleeve - creating a new 30mph speed limit from approximately opposite the boundary of 1 and 3 Main Road to a point approximately 730m along the road opposite the boundary between 64 (currently Alfresco Cucina Italiana) and 66 Main Road (plan reference: CLMH-BSIP-G1-B-DP-H-0200).

Cleeve Hill Road, Cleeve - extending the current 30mph speed limit on Cleeve Hill Road to its junction with Main Road (plan reference: CLMH-BSIP-G1-B-DP-H-0200).

Layby off A370 Main Road, Cleeve, also known as Old Bristol Road (behind Field View) (entire length) - creating a new 30mph speed limit from this road's junction with Cleeve Hill Road to its junction with Main Road (plan reference: CLMH-BSIP-G1-B-DP-H-0200).

Revocation of Speed Limit Restrictions (40mph):

A370 Main Road, Cleeve - revocation of 40mph speed limit from approximately opposite the boundary of 1 and 3 Main Road to a point approximately 730m along the road opposite the boundary between 64 (currently Alfresco Cucina Italiana) and 66 Main Road (plan reference: CLMH-BSIP-G1-B-DP-H-0100).

Cleeve Hill Road, Cleeve - revocation of 40mph from outside 60 Main Road to Cleeve Hill Road's junction with Main Road (plan reference: CLMH-BSIP-G1-B-DP-H-0100).

Layby off A370 Main Road, Cleeve, also known as Old Bristol Road (behind Field View) (entire length) - revocation of 40mph from limit from this road's junction with Cleeve Hill Road to its junction with Main Road (plan reference: CLMH-BSIP-G1-B-DP-H-0100).

Cleeve Hill Road, Cleeve, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for a pole replacement. This order will become operative on the 9 September 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for pole replacements. This order will become operative on the 9 September 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 hours in duration between 9.30am and 2.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order will become operative on the 10 September 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Cellnex (on Tower Uk Ltd) to carry out works on telecoms tower. This order will become operative on the 1 September 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration, between 9.30am and 3.30pm. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council to allow a traffic management phase switch. This order will become operative on the 13 July 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 47 nights in duration between 8pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Colliters Way - full carriageway closure of A4174 Colliters Way between Lime Kiln roundabout and Gurney roundabout including Brook Gate and Longmoor Road (Feeder Road Metro Bus Road).
