THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION)

(ROAD FROM HADDON CORNER TO GOREHEAD CROSS & ROAD FROM GOREHEAD CROSS TO SILVER LEA & GORE LANE & ROAD FROM LOWER HAMPTON FARM TO GOREHEAD CROSS, SHUTE) ORDER 2026

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 20/7/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 14/8/26. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of affected roads.

Roads affected: Road from Haddon Corner to Gorehead Cross & Road from Gorehead Cross to Silver Lea & Gore Lane & Road from Lower Hampton Farm to Gorehead Cross, Shute.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via:

Diversion 1: Road from Gorehead Cross to Silver Lea – Silver Street – The Street – The Hill – Shute Road – Road from Haddon Corner to The Acorn – Road from Haddon Corner to Gorehead Cross & vice versa.

Diversion 2: Gore Lane – The Street – Whitford Road – Road from Turnpike Cottage to Woodhayne Farm – Road from The Pound House to Pump Farm – Road from Whitford Farm to Lower Hampton Farm – Road from Lower Hampton Farm to Gorehead Cross & vice versa.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: Replacement & renewal of existing potable water mains.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 27/7/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 2/9/26. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to park or wait on the sections of affected roads.

Roads affected: Station Road, Feniton.

There is no alternative route.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: Open cut new 160mm water main.

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 20/7/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 6/8/26. Between the hours of 08:00 & 18:00. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of affected roads.

Roads affected: Road from Whitty Down Cross to The Springhead & Lane past Chapel Cottage, Uplyme.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via: Road from Rocombe Cross to Springhead Road & vice versa.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: Tree cutting to clear line of sight, overhead cabling & splicing.
