THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE
ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council intend, not less than
seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or proposed to be executed on or
near the roads and the effect will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in
those lengths of Barnby Dun at Wheatley and Clay Lane in the City of Doncaster
District as described in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and times referred
to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the workforce whilst
carriageway resurfacing works to are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order
is as described in the Schedule to this notice.

The Proposed Order will continue in force up to and including the 31st day of July
2026 or until the works which it is proposed to carry out in or near the said roads
have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed
within the stated time the Order may be continued in force with the approval of
the Secretary of State for Transport. (PO712)
SCHEDULE
Location
1) Barnby Dun Road, Wheatley from its junction with Wheatley Hall Road
Barnby Dun Road Roundabout, Clay Lane in a South westerly direction for a
distance of 85 meters.
2) Barnby Dun Road, Clay Lane from its junction with Wheatley Hall Road
Barnby Dun Road Roundabout to its junction with Clay Lane West.
Dates and Times
19:00hrs 13th July 2026 until 06:00hrs 15th July 2026. The roads will reopen
daily.
In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather conditions, the
closure may extend beyond this date although all closures to be completed by the
31st July 2026.

1. Barnby Dun Road, Thorne Road, Wheatley Hall Road, Wheatley Hall Road
Barnby Dun Road Roundabout.
2. Barnby Dun Road, Doncaster Road, Armthorpe Lane, Thorne Road Hatfield
Lane Roundabout, Thorne Road, West Moor Link Thorne Road Roundabout,
Thorne Road, Shaw Lane Roundabout, Wheatley Hall Road.
