Hatfield Lane at Barnby Dun in the City of Doncaster District
as described in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and
times referred to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works to excavate and locate cable, including
1 joint hole in footway and 4m of track are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is via Hatfield Lane, Top Road, Station
Road, Pine Hall Road and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that on the 1st day of July 2026 the
City of Doncaster Council made an Order under the provisions
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The effect of the Order that will come into operation on the
14th day of July 2026 will be to:
(a) Revoke the existing No waiting at any time restriction on
the following length of road:-
Gordon Street
South West Side
From its junction with the north western kerb line of West
Street (north western section) for a distance of 26 metres in a
south easterly direction
(b) Revoke the existing Licensed Hackney Carriage Street
Parking Place on the following length of road:-
West Street (North West Section)
West Side
From a point 14 metres from its junction with the projected
southern kerb line of Gordon Street for a distance of 12 metres
in a northerly direction
(c) Introduce a No waiting at any time restriction on the
following length of road:
Gordon Street
South West Side
(i) From its junction with the north western kerb line of West
Street (north western section) for a distance of 11 metres in a
south easterly direction
(ii) From a point 14 metres south east of its junction with the
north western kerb line of West Street (north western section)
for a distance of 12 metres in a south easterly direction
(d) Introduce a Residents Permit Priority Parking Scheme
Parking Place on the following length of road:
West Street
West side of West Street (North West section)
From a point 14 metres north east of its junction with the
projected southern kerb line of Gordon Street for a distance of
12 metres in a northerly direction
(e) Introduce a Disabled Parking Bay with No time limit
within the Controlled Zone on the following length of road:-
Gordon Street
South West Side
From a point 14 metres south east of its junction with the north
western kerb line of West Street (north western section) for a
width of 3 metres in a south easterly direction (for a maximum
length of 7.6 metres parking on the tarmac area)
Exceptions to the Order will permit waiting for the purpose of
picking up and setting down passengers, loading and
unloading goods, in connection with building industrial or
demolition operations, the removal of obstructions to traffic,
the maintenance of the roads and the services therein in
pursuance of statutory powers or duties, for the collection and
delivery of postal packets or if it is a vehicle being operated by
or on behalf of the South Yorkshire Safety Camera
Partnerships while carrying out roadside monitoring or
enforcement operations. The usual exceptions for disabled
persons vehicles are also included in the Order

Waterdale, Doncaster between 8.45 a.m. and 4.45 p.m.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of
the provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not
within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation
Act, 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act
or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with
in relation to the Order you may within six weeks from the 1st
day of July 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
