A61 UNSTONE - DRONFIELD BYPASS, CHESTERFIELD
WHEN: 18 - 19 July and 25 - 26 July 2026 (06:00 to 18:00 each day. Saturdays subject to Chesterfield FC fixtures)
WHERE: A61 Unstone - Dronfield Bypass, Chesterfield between Whittington Interchange and Jordanthorpe Interchange.
REASON: To facilitate annual highway maintenance works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A61 Chesterfield Road South, A6102 to Manor Top, Sheffield, A6135 to M1 J30 Interchange, A616, A619 to Chesterfield, A61 Inner relief road to Whittington Interchange and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
