OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
THWING ROAD, RUDSTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding
along Thwing Road, Rudston from its junction with
B1253 High Street, Rudston and the junction of Main
Street, Thwing commencing 27 July 2026 at 08.00
hours until 29 July 2026 at 17.00 hours to allow
for resurfacing works and to carry out investigation
works for Thwing Road, Rudston. The road closure
is necessary to enable the works to be carried out
in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed within
three days. The alternative route for traffic affected by
the road closure will be via B1253 High Street, Kilham
Lane, Butt Lane and Main Street, Thwing CP, Rudston
CP, East Wolds and Coastal Ward. The diversion
route will be signed at the time of closure. The road
will be closed to all through traffic but access will
be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and
pedestrians. Further information can be obtained
