(D1/2 POTBURN, ETTRICK) (TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (D1/2 Potburn, Ettrick) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 9 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00. The Order is required for BT works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D1/2 at Potburn Road, Ettrick.

There is no alternative route. Local Access shall be maintained with minor delays.

(INCH ROAD, KELSO) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (Inch Road, Kelso) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:30 on 6 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 07:00 on 7 July 2026. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall (i) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle; and (ii) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along both sides of Inch Road, Kelso from the junction with Edenside Court for approximately 70 metres to the junction with Inchmyre.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Inch

Road, Bowmont Street, East Bowmont Street, Edenside Road, A6089 and Inch Road to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(D59/5 NEWTON DON, KELSO) (TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (D59/5 Newton Don, Kelso) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 6 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 15 July 2026 between the hours of 09:00 to 17:00 each day.  The Order is required for Timber harvesting.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D95-5 at Newton Don, Kelso, from East Lodge to east of Harrietfield.

(VARIOUS ROADS, SELKIRK) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads, Selkirk) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 6 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 29 July 2026, as detailed below. The Order is required for civils and resurfacing works. When the Order comes into effect in Selkirk:

(a)   a One Way Order in a westbound direction will be in force from 08:00 on 6 July to 17:00 on 7 July 2026 and from 08:00 on 27 July to 17:00 on 29 July 2026 on the A707 Yarrow Terrace, Selkirk – from the junction with Heatherlie Park to junction with Buccleuch Road. No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle in an easterly direction.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Buccleuch Road, Mill Street and Heatherlie Terrace; and

(b)   no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked from 08:00 on 6 July to 17:00 on 7 July 2026 and from 08:00 on 27 July to 17:00 on 29 July 2026 on the following roads:

(i)  A707 Yarrow Terrace, Selkirk – from the junction with Heatherlie Park to junction with Buccleuch Road; and

(ii) B7009 Ettrick Road, Selkirk – from junction with Murison Hill to junction with Yarrow Terrace.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Buccleuch Road, Mill Street, Heatherlie Terrace; and

(c)   no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B7009 Ettrick Road, Selkirk from the junction with Murison Hill to junction with Yarrow Terrace from 08:00 on 27 July to 17:00 on 29 July 2026.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the B7009, B7039, A708, A707, B7014, and B7009 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
