(LORD STREET, RAWTENSTALL, ROSSENDALE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) NOTICE 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council consider it necessary or expedient by reason of works being executed on the following length of road that the prohibition should come into force without delay under Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Notice.
1. To temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle on Lord Street, Rawtenstall from turning right at its junction with Bacup Road, Rawtenstall.
2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 1900 hours on Monday 20th July 2026 until 0600 hours on Tuesday 21st July 2026 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. A diversion for affected traffic will be signed locally.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow a new service connection works carried out by JN Civils on behalf of Openreach.
