(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

SELBY ROAD LEVEL CROSSING, SNAITH

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding along Selby Road Level Crossing, Snaith and 20 metres either side of the level crossing commencing 21 July 2026 at 22.30 hours until 22 July 2026 at 05.30 hours. The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed Selby Road Level Crossing, Snaith annual level crossing testing works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.

It is anticipated that the works will be completed within seven hours. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Selby Road, Beast Fair, Cowick Road, Goole Road, Snaith Road, High Street, Rawcliffe Road, Drax Road Roundabout, Drax Road, River Aire to Drax Power Station, Camblesforth to Drax Power Station, Station Road and River Aire to Carlton. The road will be closed to all through traffic and to pedestrians.

The Order will commence 21 July 2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
