GORCHYMYN CEFNFFYRDD YR A40 A’R A483 (LLANYMDDYFRI,
SIR GAERFYRDDIN) (TERFYN CYFLYMDER 40 MYA) 202-

MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn drwy arfer eu pwerau o dan adrannau 84(1)(a) a 84(2) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984.

Effaith y Gorchymyn arfaethedig fydd cyflwyno terfyn cyflymder is o 40 mya ar y darnau o gefnffyrdd yr A40 a’r A483 yn Llanymddyfri yn Sir Gaerfyrddin fel y’u disgrifir yn yr Atodlen i’r Hysbysiad hwn.

Yn ystod cyfnod o 21 o ddiwrnodau o 1 Gorffennaf 2026 ymlaen, gellir edrych ar gopi o’r Gorchymyn arfaethedig, y plan a’r Datganiad o’r Rhesymau dros wneud y Gorchymyn, yn ystod oriau agor arferol yn Llyfrgell Rhydaman, 3 Ffordd y Gwynt, Rhydaman SA18 3DN.

Y darn o gefnffordd yr A40 Rhaglan i Lanymddyfri yn Llanymddyfri yn Sir Gaerfyrddin sy’n dechrau wrth bwynt 267 o fetrau i’r dwyrain o ganol ei chyffordd â Dolau Bran hyd at bwynt 211 o fetrau i’r gogledd-orllewin o ganol ei chyffordd â Pharc Carafannau a Gwersylla Erwlon, sef cyfanswm pellter o 194 o fetrau.

Y darn o gefnffordd yr A40 Abertawe i Fanceinion yn Llanymddyfri yn Sir Gaerfyrddin sy’n dechrau wrth bwynt 36 o fetrau i’r gogledd o ganol ei chyffordd â Heol Rhos, hyd at bwynt 198 o fetrau i’r gogledd-orllewin o ganol ei chyffordd â Maes y Coleg am gyfanswm pellter o 196 o fetrau.

Y darn o gefnffordd o gefnffordd yr A483 Abertawe i Fanceinion yn Llanymddyfri yn Sir Gaerfyrddin sy’n dechrau wrth bwynt 55 o fetrau i’r gogledd-ddwyrain o ganol ei chyffordd â Llys Llanfair hyd at bwynt 168 o fetrau i’r gogledd-ddwyrain o ganol ei chyffordd â Llys Llanfair am gyfanswm pellter o 113 o fetrau.

THE A40 & A483 TRUNK ROADS 
(LLANDOVERY, CARMARTHENSHIRE) (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202-

THE WELSH MINISTERS propose to make an Order in exercise of their powers under sections 84(1)(a) and 84(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 40 mph lower speed limit on the lengths of the A40 & A483 trunk roads at Llandovery in Carmarthenshire as described in the Schedule to this Notice.

During a period of 21 days from 1 July 2026, a copy of the proposed Order, plan and Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be inspected during normal opening hours at Ammanford Public Library, 3 Wind Street, Ammanford SA18 3DN.

The documents can also be viewed on the Welsh Government’s website at https://gov.wales/road-orders or obtained free of charge by e-mailing TransportOrdersBranch@gov.wales or writing to Orders Branch at the address below, quoting reference number qA2445105.

Objections, specifying the grounds on which they are made and quoting reference number qA2445105, must be sent by e-mail to TransportOrdersBranch@gov.wales or in writing to the address below by 22 July 2026.

As part of the consultation process we may pass information to them, including information you have provided and your personal data. We will, however, only disclose your personal details where it is necessary to do so to address the issues raised. If you do not wish for your personal data to be forwarded to third parties, you should state this when submitting your correspondence. 

The Welsh Ministers will copy the representations to the appropriate third parties with the name and address removed and if there is to be a local Public Inquiry, the representations will be seen by the Inspector who may give them less weight as a result.

The length of the A40 Raglan to Llandovery trunk road at Llandovery in Carmarthenshire that commences at a point 267 metres east of the centre of its junction with Dolau Bran to a point 211 metres north-west of the centre of its junction with Erwlon Caravan and Camping Park, a total distance of 194 metres.

The length of the A40 Swansea to Manchester trunk road at Llandovery in Carmarthenshire that commences at a point 36 metres north of the centre of its junction with Heol Rhos, to a point 198 metres north-west of the centre of its junction with Maes Y Coleg for a total distance of 196 metres

The length of the A483 Swansea to Manchester trunk road at Llandovery in Carmarthenshire that commences at a point point 55 metres north-east of the centre of its junction with Llys Llanfair to a point 168 metres north-east of the centre of its junction with Llys Llanfair for a total distance of 113 metres.
