On 26 June 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Townpath from Hazelwood Lane to Outwood Lane (T9031) Chipstead.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

This Order is required to enable Network Rail to facilitate a bridge examination and associated works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 6-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences 14 July 2026 for 1 night between the hours of 10.00pm and 6.00am.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times. Titsey Road (B269) Limpsfield, Titsey Road

(B269) Titsey and Titsey Hill (B269) Titsey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 26 June 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Titsey Road (B269) Limpsfield, Titsey Road (B269) Titsey and Titsey Hill (B269) Titsey as extends from the junction of Titsey Road (B269) with High Street (B269) to the junction of Titsey Hill (B269) with Clarks Lane (B2024).

Alternative route – B2024 (Clarks Lane and Croydon Road), A25 (Westerham Road), B2025 (Detillens Lane) and B269 (High Street), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 3 July 2026.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

D2800 Adlers Lane, Westhumble
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 01 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D2800 Adlers Lane, Westhumble that extends from the eastern side of its junction with Burney Road, to the north-western side of its junction with Pilgrims Close.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains replacement and/or connections and/or maintenance works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 4 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each, day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Adlers Lane, Pilgrims Way, Chapel Lane and Burney Road.

A24 Dorking Road, Leatherhead and A24 London Road, Mickleham
Temporary Traffic Management Order 2026

On 01 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1.Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of the southbound carriageway to A24 Dorking Road, Leatherhead and that length of the southbound carriageway to A24 London Road, Mickleham that extends from its junction with A24 Dorking Road, to its junction with B2209 Old London Road.

Alternative route:- Givon’s Grove Roundabout, A246, A25 Shere Road, A25 Station Road, A25 Dorking Road, A25 Coast Hill, Guildford Road, Westcott Road, West Street, High Street and Reigate Road. 2. Reduce the maximum speed limit to 30mph in the entire length of A24 Dorking Road, Leatherhead and that length of A24 London Road, Mickleham that extends from its junction with A24 Dorking Road, to its junction with B2209 Old London Road. 3. “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Mole Valley)(50MPH Seed Limit)Order 1999” (as amended) shall be suspended insofar as imposes a speed limit of 50mph in the lengths of A24 Dorking Road, Leatherhead and A24 London Road, Mickleham described in Part 2. above.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains replacement and/or refurbishment and/or repair and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 4pm, within 3 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 July 2026.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, suspension and speed limit, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Note:- The temporary closure described in part 1. above is anticipated to be operational at night.

The temporary speed limit described in part 2. and temporary suspension described in part 3. above is anticipated to be operational for 24 hours each day. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police.

C57 Ifield Road, Charlwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 01 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C57 Ifield Road, Charlwood that extends from the southern side of its junction with the access road for Butternut Croft, to the northern side of its junction with D557 Chalmers Close.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Sutton and East Surrey Water to make a new water connection and/or carry out water mains maintenance and/or associated works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm within 5 days of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 July 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Access for residents, businesses and emergency services will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Ifield Road, The Street, Lowfield Heath Road, Bonnetts Lane and Charlwood Road.

Meath Green Lane (D334) Horley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Meath Green Lane (D334) Horley as extends from the access for “Meath Green House” to its junction with Malt House Lane (X9284); and 2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council Meath Green Lane (D334) Horley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as it relates to the road in 1. above.

Alternative route – Horley Row, A23 (Brighton Road, Balcombe Road (clockwise only) and Bonehurst Road), Lodge Lane and Meath Green Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate footway construction and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out over multiple phases during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 July 2026 for 3 months.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Vincent Lane (A25) Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2026

On 01 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles at any time on both sides of the carriageway of Vincent Lane (A25) Dorking as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.12 and No.13 Vincent Lane to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.19 and No.20 Vincent Lane. 

This Temporary Order is required to facilitate removal and installation of a high wall, allowing a safe working zone for, or on behalf of CDM Decorating and Interiors Ltd.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 19 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 13 July 2026.

This temporary restriction, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).

Zigzag Road (D311) Mickleham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 01 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Zigzag Road (D311) Mickleham as extends from its junction with (B2209) Old London Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “Flint Cottage”.

Alternative Route: (B2209) Old London Road, (A24) London Road, (A24) Deepdene Avenue, (A25) Reigate Road, (B2032) Station Road, (B2032) Pebble Hill Road, (B2033) Headley Common Road, and Boxhill Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 18 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 July 2026.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Battlebridge Lane (C225) and Devon Road (D1173) Merstham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 01 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Battlebridge Lane (C225) Merstham as extends from its junction with (C225) New Battlebridge Lane to its junction with (D1173) The Crossways; (b) Devon Road (D1173) Merstham as extends from its junction with (C225) Battlebridge Lane to its junction with (D1172) Orpin Road.

Alternative Route: (1) New Battlebridge Lane, (A23) London Road South, (A23) London Road, (A23) Princess Way, (A25) Redstone Hill, (A25) Nutfield Road, (A25) High Street, (A25) Bletchingley Road, (A25) Castle Street, Little Common Lane, Pendell Road, Bletchingley Road, and Nutfield Road, or this route in reverse; (2) Battlebridge Lane, Nutfield Road, and Orpin Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 28 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. 

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Honeycrock Lane (C65) Salfords
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 01 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Honeycrock Lane (C65) Salfords as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.33 and No.35 Honey Crock Lane to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.75 and No.77 Honeycrock Lane; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Honeycrock Lane (C65) Salfords Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025” in its entirety.

Alternative Route: Honeycrock Lane, (A23) Brighton Road, (A23) Horley Road, Three Arch Road, Masons Bridge Road, and Honeycrock Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate overhead telecom mast testing works for, or on behalf of Vodaphone.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 11.45pm and 5am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 July 2026.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Henfold Lane (D301) South Holmwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Henfold Lane (D301) Beare Green.

Alternative Route: Blackbrook Road, Red Lane, Brockhamhurst Road, Leigh Road, Shellwood Road, Broad Lane, Parkgate Road, and Henfold Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate telecom utility works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 July 2026.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents, businesses and emergency services will be maintained at all times; during working hours (8am to 6pm) such access will be under direction of site operatives, outside of working hours access will be maintained via the alternative route.

Picketts Lane (D355) Salfords and Kings Mill Lane (D355) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in; (a) the entire length of Picketts Lane (D355) Salfords; (b) that length of Kings Mill Lane (D355) Redhill as extends from its junction with (D355) Masons Bridge Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “Staplehurst Farm” and; (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Reigate and Banstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2026” insofar as it affects that length of road described in part (a) of this Notice.

Alternative Route: (1) Axes Lane, New House Lane, and Crossoak Lane, or this route in reverse; (2) Masons Bridge Road, Axes Lane, Green Lane, Moats Lane, Crab Hill Lane, Kings Cross Lane, and Kings Mill Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole testing and aerial cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 July 2026.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Station Road East (C81) Oxted
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Road East (C81) Oxted as extends from its junction with (X1234) Eden Place to its junction with (D444) Bluehouse Lane.

Alternative Route: Bluehouse Lane, Gresham Road, and Station Road East, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 36 days, in 3 phases, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Crabtree Lane (D2546) Bookham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the northbound carriageway of Crabtree Lane (D2546) Bookham as extends from its junction with the property known as “Pippins” to its junction with (A246) Leatherhead Road.

Alternative Route: Crabtree Lane, Blackthorne Road, Downs Way, and (A246) Leatherhead Road.

This Order is required to facilitate traffic light refurbishment works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 19 days and to be completed as soon as possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 July 2026.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Brighton Road (A217) and Reigate Road (A240) Burgh Heath
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Management Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to; (a) prohibit vehicles that are travelling southbound carriageway of Reigate Road (A240) Burgh Heath from turning left on to (A217) Brighton Road.

Alternative Route: Southbound on (A217) Brighton Road, (A217) Brighton Road (Roundabout) and northbound on (A217) (A217) Brighton Road; (b) Prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding at a speed greater than 30 MPH in that length of; (b) the northbound carriageway of Brighton Road (A217) Burgh Heath as extends from its junction with (D1037) Oatlands Road and for a distance of 130 metres; (c) the southbound carriageway of Brighton Road (A217) Burgh Heath as extends from No.17 The Parade and for a distance of 160 metres; (d) Suspend “The Borough of Reigate and Banstead (A217 Brighton Road, Burgh Heath/ Lower Kingswood) (40m.p.h Speed Limit) Order 1996 and/or any Speed Limit Order made or having effect as if made under Sections 82, 83 and/or 84 of the Act insofar as affects that length of road described in this Notice.

This Temporary Traffic Management Order is required to facilitate a full refurbishment on signal traffic works for, or on behalf of Yunex Traffic and Surrey County Council.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 26 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm during the 18-month period of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 27 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and speed limit, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. For sub-paragraph (a) above:

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure. For sub-paragraph (b)(c)(d) above: The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
