NOTICE is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council proposes to make an order under sections 84(1) and (2) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which will be to: a) prohibit the driving of motor vehicles at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour in lengths of A432 Badminton Road, Winterbourne; b) prohibit the driving of motor vehicles at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour in lengths of A432 Badminton Road, Winterbourne; and c) vary the South Gloucestershire Council (A432 Coalpit Heath to Nibley) (Restricted Roads) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2003 in favour of the provisions specified in item a) and item b) above. NOTICE is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council proposes to make an order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which will be to introduce one way traffic working in Gloucester Road – Northbound Service Road, Almondsbury. Motor vehicles will travel in a northerly direction. Cyclists are permitted to travel in both directions. Exemptions are contained in the order for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends on 15 July 2026 to make an order the sole effect of which will be to revoke the South Gloucestershire Council (A432 Badminton Road, Downend) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024 (“the previous order”). The previous order was made on 7 February 2024 and was required in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon bridge replacement works. These works are now complete.
