What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: Section 14 - Temporary Closure Of Part Of The B1085 Lidgate Road And C655 The Street, Dalham
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made an order closing the following roads:
- B1085 Lidgate Road, Dalham from the junction with Stores Hill for 10 metres southbound.
- C655 The Street, Dalham from the junction with Stores Hill for 350 metres northbound.
This is to facilitate the installation of fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
- for Lidgate Road - the B1085 Lidgate Road, the B1063, the A1304, the B1506, the B1085 and vice versa.
- for The Street - the B1085, the B1506, Gazeley Road, Mill Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 01/07/2026 - 09/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C654 Bridge Street, Moulton
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an order closing the C654 Bridge Street, Moulton from The Street to Gazeley Road to facilitate the installation of fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1085, the B1506, Gazeley Road, Mill Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 10/07/2026 - 20/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The U4003 Charles Street, Ipswich
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made an order closing the U4003 Charles Street, Ipswich from Neale Street for 30 metres westbound to facilitate water works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
Southbound Diversion - Fitzroy Street, Claude Street, service road behind High Street from Charles Street to Claude Street, High Street, Crown Street with no vice versa.
Northbound Diversion - Neale Street, Crown Street, High Street, Charles Street with no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 01/07/2026 - 03/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The A137 Ipswich Road, Wherstead And Bentley
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an order closing the following roads:
- A137 Ipswich Road, Wherstead
- A137 Ipswich Road, Bentley from Ipswich Road, Wherstead to the junction with Church Road.

This is to facilitate surface dressing and road markings. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be The A137, the A133, the A1232, the A12, the A14, the A137 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closures will operate from:
- Surface Dressing - 10/07/2026 - 13/07/2026 from 4:00am – 9:00am
- Road Markings - 15/08/2026 - 20/08/2026 from 8:00pm – 5:00am.

There will also be further closures scheduled for associated works.
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council (Parishes Of Great Livermere And Little Livermere) (Footpaths 13 And 3) - (Temporary Closure) Order 2025
This order, which came into effect on 25/02/2025 closing Footpath 13, Great Livermere at the bridge and Footpath 3, Little Livermere at the bridge has been extended in force by the Minister until 25/02/2027 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
This closure remains required for safety reasons due to an unsafe bridge. Co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Without extension the order would have been in effect until 25/08/2026.
The diversion route remains Footpath 3, Little Livermere, Footpath 2, Great Livermere, Footpath 10, The Street, The C651 Bury Road, Footpath 13 and vice versa.
