School Road, Grayshott - Traffic Order Proposals – Parking and Waiting Restrictions

What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council (“the Council”) proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 32, 35, 39 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.  
GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to implement prohibition of waiting restrictions on School Road as described below: (i)        North-east side - Between a point 45 metres north-east of its junction with Beech Lane and a point 23 metres north-east of that point. (ii)       East side - between a point 10 metres north of its junction with Beech Lane and a point 18 metres south of that junction (iii)      East side - between a point 10 metres north of its junction with Beech Hanger Road and a point 20 metres south of that junction. (iv)      East side - between its junction with Headley Road and a point 23 metres north of that junction. (v)       East side - between a point 75 metres north of its junction with Headley Road and a point 56 metres north of that point. (vi)      East side – between a point 75 metres north of its junction with Headley Road and a point 28 metres south of that point. (vii)     East side - between a point 150 metres north of its junction with Headley Road and a point 61 metres north of that point.  
This order will also formalise the existing disabled bay on School Road’s east side east side between a point 211 metres north of its junction with Headley Road and a point 6 metres north east of that point.  
This order will revoke and reinstate ‘The Hampshire (Various Roads, Grayshott) (Parking Places and Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2013’, ‘The Hampshire (Various Roads, Grayshott) (Parking Places and Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2013 (Variation No. 1) Order 2014’, ‘East Hampshire District Council (Grayshott: Crossways Road and Headley Road) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) and (Disabled Badge Holders Only Parking) Order 2018’, and ‘East Hampshire District Council (Grayshott: Avenue Road, Crossways Road and Headley Road) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 2020’ with no change of substance, save for the changes above.

OBJECTIONS AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS: All objections/other representations in respect of this proposal must be made in writing to The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD or email public.notices@hants.gov.uk quoting reference: A2100/KK, by Friday 31st July 2026. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.  
TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as “The Hampshire (Various Roads, Grayshott) (Loading, Parking Places, Disabled Persons Parking Places & Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 2026.”
