The County Council of Durham (Jackson Street (Back), Spennymoor) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026
The Council on 26/6/2026 made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following length of road. A 17 metre length of Jackson Street (Back), Spennymoor to the rear of no. 26-32 Jackson Street and no. 27-35 North Street to enable sewer repair works to be undertaken. Throughout the period of the closure, a diversion will be available to vehicular traffic to the front of Jackson Street. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The works commenced under planned 5-day Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice on 22/6/2026 and now require extending from 8am on 27/6/2026 for approximately 4 days. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
