What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U6003 ELMS ROAD, FRECKENHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6003 Elms Road, Freckenham from the junction with Church Lane for 50 metres eastbound to facilitate remedial works following burst water main repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Elms Road, the B1102, Newmarket Road, Elms Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 30/06/2026 - 02/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U1631 MILL ROAD, SOUTHWOLD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U1631 Mill Road, Southwold from 50 metres west of the junction with Queen Street for 30 metres westbound to facilitate gas disconnection works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Queen Street, Lorne Road, Gardener Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 30/06/2026 - 02/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U7348 WEAVERS DRIVE, GLEMSFORD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U7348 Weavers Drive, Glemsford from no. 12 for 100 metres north westbound to facilitate ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

There will be no diversion route.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 09/07/2026 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

THE C218 CRATFIELD ROAD, COOKLEY

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C218 Cratfield Road, Cookley from the junction with Linstead Road for 509 metres eastbound to facilitate the testing of a telecommunications pole and tree cutting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Linstead Road, Laxfield Road, Huntingfield Road, Low Road, the B1117, Halesworth Road, the road from the B1117 to the C216 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 09/07/2026 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
