TALBOT(DWR Y FELIN ROAD, CAEWERN) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary to enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out civil engineering works in the road and for the Highways Section to carry out any ancillary highway maintenance works resulting therefrom.
The Order will come into force on the 20th July 2026 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner, but it is anticipated the works will take 3 weeks to complete.
SCHEDULE
Dwr Y Felin Road will be closed from the junction of Heol Glynderwen in a southerly direction for a distance of 230m along its length.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the unaffected section of Dwr Y Felin Road, Llygad-yr-Haul, A474 Penywern Road and Cadoxton Road.
Access for emergency services, residents and pedestrians will be maintained.
