TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF LEISTON LEVEL CROSSING (CROSSROADS OF ABBEY ROAD, STATION ROAD AND WESTWARD HO), LEISTON
Sizewell C (Nuclear Generating Station) intends to make an order closing the crossroads of B1122 Station Road, Abbey Road and Westward Ho, Leiston. The closure will allow power enabling works to take place at Leiston Level Crossing. Other coordinated works may also take place during this period.
The B1122 diversion will be B1122, A12, A1094, B1069 and vice versa.
The Westward Ho diversion will be: Buckleswood Road, Abbey Lane, B1122 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate 24 hours a day between Monday 20th July and Sunday 30th August 2026.
