SERPENTINE ROAD, POOLE – EASTBOUND ROAD CLOSURE TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.
WHAT: Road closed to all eastbound traffic (remains open to westbound traffic) and no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time
WHERE: Serpentine Road eastbound from its western dead end to its junction with Wimborne Road
WHY: This is to facilitate gas main replacement works by SGN
WHEN: Anticipated dates: 27th July 2026 until 25th September 2026
ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety
DIVERSION: Via Serpentine Road, Towngate Bridge and Wimborne Road

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
