The City of Cambridge - Civil Enforcement Area Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places
What is happening?
CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
The City of Cambridge (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Order 2022 (Amendment No. 72) Order 202-
Notice is hereby given that Cambridgeshire County Council proposes to make the above named Order under the powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Traffic Management Act 2004.
The effect of this Order will be to introduce a prohibition of loading (double yellow kerb blips) around the junction of Grantchester Street, Chedworth Street and Merton Street, Cambridge. The existing double yellow lines would remain. In addition, the existing parking bay in Chedworth Street adjacent to the butcher’s shop would be removed and replaced with single yellow lines and single yellow kerb blips to prohibit waiting and loading on Monday-Friday between the hours of 7.30-9am and 2.45-4pm. This is primarily to address safety concerns created by indiscriminate parking at school drop-off and pick-up times.
Further details of the above proposal may be examined via our online traffic portal at https://consultation. appyway.com/cambridge and select the Order “CoC CEA WRSPP Am 72 Grantchester St, Chedworth St & Merton St”
