PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2023
On 23 July 2026 Dartmoor National Park Authority confirmed the above Order, made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert part of the public bridleway running from SX 8197 8477 to SX 8238 8455 to a new line running from SX 8208 8485 to SX 8238 8455 for a distance of 491 metres as shown on the Order map; and to divert part of the public footpath running from SX 8227 8459 to SX 8231 8464 to a new line running from SX 8220 8459 to SX 8231 8464.
A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map have been placed on the Authority’s website https://www.dartmoor.gov.uk/enjoy-dartmoor/outdoor-activities/walking/whereyou-can-walk or to request a copy email hq@dartmoor.gov.uk or telephone 01626 832093.
The Order comes into force on 23 July 2026, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wishes to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may make an application to the High Court not later than 3 September 2026.
