SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C314 BLACKSMITHS ROAD, HASKETON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C314 Blacksmiths Road, Hasketon from The Forge for 30 metres, Eastbound to facilitate remedial works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Church Road, Riverside, Pinners Lane, B1079, Manor Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/07/2026 - 09/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1078 IPSWICH ROAD, CHARSFIELD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1078 Ipswich Road, Charsfield from 5 metres west of the junction with Church Road for 140 metres westbound to facilitate the removal of tree branches from power cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The B1078, the B1079, the B1077, the A1120, the B1119, the B1116, the B1078 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/07/2026 - 09/07/2026 from 09.30am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY 30 AND 40MPH SPEED LIMITS ON PART OF THE C612 HERRINGSWELL ROAD, KENTFORD

Suffolk County Council has made an order for a temporary 30mph speed restriction on the following road.

40mph Speed Restriction

Northbound: C612 Herringswell Road, Kentford from 180 metres north of Kentford Railway Bridge for 200 metres northbound.

Southbound: C612 Herringswell Road, Kentford from Anchor Stud for 200 metres southbound.

30mph Speed Restriction

Northbound: C612 Herringswell Road, Kentford from 380 metres north of Kentford Railway Bridge for 300 metres northbound.

Southbound: C612 Herringswell Road, Kentford from 200 metres south of Anchor Stud for 300 metres southbound.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 23/06/2026.

It is intended that the closure will operate until 21/12/2026, but if necessary the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF WAVENEY) (STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS OF ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED ORDER 2018 (PARTS OF BECCLES) (ST REVETT'S ROAD) (11738) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) (VARIATION No.41) ORDER 2026

Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3), 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would substitute revision 2 of Map Tile AV173 in place of revision 1 of the same Map Tile, into the above-named 2018 Order. The effect of this would be to introduce:

No waiting at any time:

• North side of St Benedicts Road (U1738), Beccles, 10 metres of no waiting at any time, to go across the access of the car parking area behind Abbeyfield House these start approximately 30m east of the junction with Ravensmere.

No waiting Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm on:

• North side of St Benedicts Road (U1738), Beccles, from the centre of property no.1 for a distance of 20.5m east limited waiting Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm.

• North side of St Benedicts Road (U1738), Beccles, from the centre of property no.13 for a distance of 20.5m east limited waiting Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm.

Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload for building, industrial or demolition works; for emergency services; for the maintenance of the road or its services; and for fulfilling statutory duties. There are the usual exemptions for blue badge-holders.

Copies of the draft order, map showing the roads affected and the Council's reasons for the proposals, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday, also at Beccles Library, Blyburgate, Beccles NR34 9TB during Monday: 9.30 - 5pm, Tuesday: 9.30 - 5pm, Wednesday: 9.30 - 5pm, Thursday: 9.30 - 5pm, Friday: 9.30 - 6pm, Saturday: 9.30 - 5pm and Sunday: 10am - 4pm.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED TOUCAN CROSSING AND PARALLEL CROSSING ON VARIOUS ROADS, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council proposes to add a:

• Toucan crossing on Holywells Road (C26), Ipswich approximately 18 metres north of the Toller Road (U2009).

• Parallel Crossing on Cliff Road (B1458), Ipswich approximately 16.5 metres south of the junction on Ship Launch Road (U2007).

NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONTROLLED CROSSING ON BURY ROAD (A143), STANTON, DISTRICT OF WEST SUFFOLK

Suffolk County Council proposes to install a controlled crossing on Bury Road (A143) at Stanton, integrated into a new traffic light-controlled junction. The proposed pedestrian crossing is to be located approximately 15 metres south of the junction with Rose and Crown Court, Stanton.

The reason for this proposal is to provide safer pedestrian crossing facilities across the A143 at a new traffic light-controlled junction.
