(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON VARIOUS ROADS  IN BERKHAMSTED) ORDER NO.2 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of A41 (unnamed road), Berkhamsted from its junction with the A41 westbound slip road leading onto the A4251 London Road roundabout south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 4511m. An alternative route will be via A4251 (London Road/High Street/Gossoms End/ High Street/Tring Road) and A41 (Interchange Tring/unnamed road).

2. the A41 westbound slip road leading onto Upper Bourne End Lane,

Berkhamsted from its junction with the westbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road) south westwards, south eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 372m.

An alternative route will be via A41 (unnamed road/Interchange Tring/unnamed road), Stoney Lane and Upper Bourne End Lane.

3. the A41 westbound slip road leading onto A41 (unnamed road), Berkhamsted from its junction with Upper Bourne End Lane north westwards and south westwards to its junction with the westbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 163m.

An alternative route will be via Upper Bourne End Lane, Stoney Lane, A41 (unnamed road), A4251 London Road and A41 (unnamed road). The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect on 20 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HEMEL HEMPSTEAD PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.055) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Hemel Hempstead Public Footpath No.055 from its junction with Newfield Lane south eastwards to its junction with The Driftway, a distance of approximately 107m (“the Public Footpath”).

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south east side of Newfield Lane, the footway situated on the south side of Sawyers Way and the footway situated on the west side of The Driftway.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpath.

The Order will come into effect from 20 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpath. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SHENLEY ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Shenley Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Epping Green south eastwards to its junction with Botley Road, a distance of approximately 165m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Shenley Road, B487 Redbourn Road and Shenley Road.

The Order is needed because duct laying works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 22 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, WIGGINTON AND BOVINGDON) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:1. that length of Alexandra Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Hillfield Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 276m.

An alternative route will be via Hillfield Road, Marlowes and Midland Road.

2. that length of Aycliffe Drive, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Washington Avenue south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with the A4147 Link Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 620m. An alternative route will be via Washington Avenue, St Agnells Lane and A4147 Link Road.

3. that length of Hunting Gate, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Aycliffe Drive south westwards for a distance of approximately 311m. There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

4. that length of Chesham Road, Wigginton from its junction with Hemp Lane south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Crawleys Lane, a distance of approximately 1164m.

An alternative route will be via Hemp Lane, Bottom House Lane and Crawleys Lane.

5. that length of Chesham Road, Wigginton from its junction with Crawleys Lane south eastwards to its junction with Hog Lane, a distance of approximately 3620m.

An alternative route will be via Chesham Road, Vicarage Road, Fox Road, A41 Interchange Tring, A41 (unnamed road), A416 (Chesham Road/Ashley Green Road/ Nashleigh Hill), Vale Road, The Vale and Chesham Road.

6. that length of Claymore, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Washington Avenue south westwards, south eastwards, north westwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, north westwards, south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 735m.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

7. that length of Durrants Hill Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4251 London Road north eastwards to its junction with Lawn Lane, a distance of approximately 351m.

An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road, A41 (Two Waters Way/ Two Waters Road), Corner Hall and Lawn Lane.

8. that length of Green Dell Way, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with

Leverstock Green Road north eastwards and north westwards for its entire length. An alternative route will be via Leverstock Green Road and Highland Drive.

9. that length of Harlow Court, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with St Agnells Lane westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

10.   that length of Leyhill Road, Bovingdon from its junction with B4505 Chesham Road south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Pudds Cross, a distance of approximately 570m.

An alternative route will be via B4505 Chesham Road, High Street, Green Lane, Bovingdon Green, Long Lane, Shantock Lane and Pudds Cross.

11.  that length of Lomond Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Washington Avenue south westwards, north westwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Laidon Square, a distance of approximately 462m.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

12.   that length of Leven Way, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Lomond Road south westwards to its junction with Lomond Road, a distance of approximately 90m.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

13.   that length of Laidon Square, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Lomond Road south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 114m. There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

14.  that length of A4251 London Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A41 Two Waters Road south eastwards to its junction with Nash Mills Lane, a distance of approximately 2838m.

An alternative route will be via A41 (Two Waters Road/unnamed road) and A4251 (Watford Road/High Street/Hempstead Road).

15.  that length of Lucks Hill, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Long Chaulden south eastwards to its junction with Jocketts Road, a distance of approximately 260m.

An alternative route will be via Long Chaulden and Jocketts Road.

16.  that length of Pouchen End Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Fields End Lane south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Chaulden Lane, a distance of approximately 1650m. An alternative route will be via Fields End Lane, Boxted Road, Warners End Road, Northridge Way and Chaulden Lane.

17.   that length of Winifred Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Featherbed Lane south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Storey Street, a distance of approximately 163m. An alternative route will be via Featherbed Lane, A4251 London Road, Sealy Way, Weymouth Street and Storey Street.

18.    that length of Wood Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Paradise south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with A414 St Albans Road, a distance of approximately 311m.

An alternative route will be via Paradise, Park Lane and A414 St Albans Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 20 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 4 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BERKHAMSTED PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.009 AND BERKHAMSTED PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.010) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of public footpath (“the Public Footpaths”):1. Berkhamsted Public Footpath No.009 from its junction with Berkhamsted Public Footpath No.010 north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Prince Edward Street, a distance of approximately 113m.

An alternative route will be via Berkhamsted Public Footpath No.010, the footway situated on the south east side of A416 Kings Road, the footway situated on the south west side of A4251 High Street and the footway situated on the north west side of Prince Edward Street.

2. Berkhamsted Public Footpath No.010 from its junction with A416 Kings Road south eastwards to its junction with Berkhamsted Public Footpath No.009, a distance of approximately 155m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south east side of

A416 Kings Road, the footway situated on the south west side of A4251 High Street, the footway situated on the north west side of Prince Edward Street and Berkhamsted Public Footpath No.009.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpaths.

The Order will come into effect from 20 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Trowley Hill Road, Flamstead from its junction with White Hill south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Trowley Bottom, a distance of approximately 197m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via White Hill and Trowley Bottom. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 21 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-

1.  To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A4251 London Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A414 eastbound slip road leading onto A4251 London Road north westwards to its junction with A41 Two Waters Way, a distance of approximately 22m.

An alternative route will be via A41 (Two Waters Way/Two Waters Way Intersection/ Two Waters Way).

2.  To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A4251 London Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A414 westbound slip road leading onto A4251 London Road south eastwards to its junction with A4251 London Road, a distance of approximately 22m.

An alternative route will be via A414 (Two Waters Way/Two Waters Road),

A414 The Plough roundabout and A414 (Two Waters Road/Two Waters Way). 3. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the southbound carriageway of A414 Two Waters Way into the westbound carriageway of A4251 London Road, Hemel Hempstead, whilst signs are in place. An alternative route will be via A41 Two Waters Way, A41 Two Waters Way Intersection, A41 Two Waters Way and A4251 London Road.

4. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the northbound carriageway of A41 Two Waters Way into the eastbound carriageway of A4251 London Road, Hemel Hempstead, whilst signs are in place.

An alternative route will be via A414 (Two Waters Way/Two Waters Road), A414 The Plough Roundabout and A414 (Two Waters Road/Two Waters Way). 5. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the westbound carriageway of A4251 London Road into the northbound carriageway of A414 Two Waters Way, Hemel Hempstead, whilst signs are in place. An alternative route will be via A41 Two Waters Way, A41 Two Waters Way Intersection and A41 Two Waters Way.

6. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the eastbound carriageway of A4251 London Road into the southbound carriageway of A41 Two Waters Way, Hemel Hempstead, whilst signs are in place.

An alternative route will be via A414 (Two Waters Way/Two Waters Road), A414 The Plough roundabout and A414 (Two Waters Road/Two Waters Way).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 18 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 8 weeks to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Henry Street, Tring from a point 29m south east of its junction with B4635 Western Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 16m (“the Road”).

2. that length of Derwent Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Ullswater Road north westwards to its junction with Crossfell Road, a distance of approximately 106m.

An alternative route will be via B4635 High Street, Akeman Street and Park Road. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 6 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (REVOCATIONS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to amend various existing Orders in the County of Hertfordshire as specified in Schedule 1 and revoke Orders listed in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 1 July 2026 during office hours, at Main Reception, Farnham House, Stevenage, or on-line at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Dacorum and looking at Ref: J00126

Objections or other representations to the proposals should be made in writing to tro.team@hertfordshire.gov.uk or TRO Services Team, Postal Point (CHO242), Farnham House, Six Hills Way, Stevenage, SG1 2ST by 22 July 2026 stating the grounds on which they are made.

SCHEDULE 1: The following road names are amended from former Trunk Road designations to the roads’ current names: a) A41 to A4251 Hempstead Road

c) A5 to A5183 Dunstable Road

d) London-Holyhead Trunk Road (A5) to A5183 Dunstable Road
