MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC 150932241 : The City of Manchester (Waincliffe Avenue, Chorlton Park Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Waincliffe Avenue. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Mersey Bank Avenue vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate rectifying defective reinstatement in the carriageway. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 13th July 2026 to the 15th July 2026. The order shall come into operation on the 13th July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. 1st July 2026

ORDER NO. MCC000 151024077: The City of Manchester (Deansgate, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Deansgate, southbound between Peter Street and Great Bridgewater Street. The City Council is satisfied that prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a MEWP for roof repairs. It is expected that the works will be in progress 3 Nights (22:00hrs to 06:00hrs) from 13th July 2026 to 16th July 2026. The order shall come into operation on 13th July 2026and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
