SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC PART OF
MILLINGTON LANE, KILNWICK PERCY
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of Millington Lane, Kilnwick Percy north along Martin
Lane heading west along Swineridge Lane onto The
Mile continuing onto Bridge Street along London Street
and onto St Helens Gate along the B1246 Kilnwick
Road commencing 29 July 2026 at 08.00 hours until
31 July 2026 at 18.00 hours to excavate and install
telecoms cable on part of Millington Lane, Kilnwick
Percy. The road closure is necessary to enable the
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid
for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works
will be completed within three days. The alternative
route for traffic affected by the road closure will
be via north along Martin Lane heading west along
Swineridge Lane onto The Mile continuing onto Bridge
Street along London Street and onto St Helens Gate
along the B1246 Kilnwick Road, Nunburnholme CP,
Wolds Weighton Ward. The diversion route will be
signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed
to all through traffic but access will be maintained for
residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
