SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF MILL LANE, SEATON ROSS
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of Mill Lane, Seaton Ross from its junction with North
Street/Breckstreet Lane northbound for approximately
200 metres commencing 27 July 2026 at 08.00 hours
until 31 July 2026 at 17.00 hours for the purposes of
installing a new water supply connection and excavation
works. The road closure is necessary to enable the
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be completed within five days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via Mill Lane, North End, Church Lane,
South End, Southfield Lane, A163 road from Foss
Dyke to Major Bridge, A163 Selby Road, A163 High
Street, A614 New Road, A614 Market Weighton Road,
Harswell Lane, Bull Lane, Southfield Lane, Main Street,
Common Lane and Everingham Road, Seaton Ross
CP, Holme Upon Spalding Moor CP, Everingham CP,
Howdenshire Ward, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access
will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and
pedestrians.
