What is happening?

SPEED LIMITS
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Roads (Speed
Limit) (No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026”, (S.R. 2026 No. 117), which comes into operation
on 15th July 2026.
The Rule will-
• apply a 30 miles per hour speed limit to a length of Glenlevan Road and Tonnagh Road,
Derrygonnelly; and
• apply a 40 miles per hour speed limit to a length of Ballymaconaghy Road and Comber
Road, Castlereagh and Tonnagh Road, Derrygonnelly.
Vehicles are excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.
A copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office hours (Monday to Friday
9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) by appointment only. Appointments can be arranged either by email to

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION
B101 POND PARK ROAD, LISBURN
Notice is hereby given that the Department for Infrastructure using its powers under Article 7
(1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, has temporarily
prohibited the use, by traffic of:-
B101 Pond Park Road, Lisburn
from junction with Pond Park Road East to Old Park Road.
This road will be closed continuously from Wednesday 1st July until Friday 14th August 2026.
The closure is required for a sewer refurbishment.
Alternative route:
A501 Sheepwalk Road – A30 Glenavy Road – A30 Ballymacash Road
