TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 PART OF SANDS
LANE, HOLME UPON SPALDING MOOR
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle from proceeding along Sands Lane, Holme
Upon Spalding Moor between 08.00 hours until 17.00
hours commencing 29 June 2026 to allow works
for installation of a new water supply connection and
excavation of tarmac in the carriageway on Sands
Lane, Holme Upon Spalding Moor. The reason for the
closure is to enable the proposed Sands Lane, Holme
Upon Spalding Moor works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed within five days. The alternative route
for traffic affected by the Order is via Sands Lane,
Baileywood Lane, Runner End and Selby Road, Holme
Upon Spalding Moor CP, Howdenshire Ward. The road
will be closed to all through traffic but remain open
at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access
to properties directly affected by the closure and for
emergency services. The Order will commence
29 June 2026 and continue in force for a period not
exceeding eighteen months or until the works which
it is proposed to carry out have been completed,
whichever is the earlier. Further information can
