ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following
stretches of road:
l The Maltings closed its entire length.
l Great Western Street closed between its junction with
Herbert Street and The Maltings. Vehicular Diversion
Route: Great Western Street, Ring Road (clockwise),
Ring Road (anti-clockwise), Stafford Street (outbound),
Fiveways Island and Stafford Street (inbound).
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken from 10 July 2026 until 24 July 2026.
The Order is required to facilitate the installation of high
voltage electrical ducting by National Grid (Electricity
Distribution).
