TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS:

40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT ON

A3222 WELBORNE LINK ROAD, FAREHAM

AND

PROHIBITION OF WAITING ON

A3222 WELBORNE LINK ROAD, FAREHAM

AND

NO ENTRY BETWEEN A3222 WELBORNE LINK ROAD AND M27 EASTBOUND / WESTBOUND OFF-SLIP ROADS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council (“the Council”) proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 84 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDERS:

ORDER 1 (C896): Will be to implement a 40 miles per hour speed limit on A3222 Welborne Link Road between its junction with A32 Wickham Road at Broadway Roundabout and its southern point of termination at the teardrop roundabout, including the circulatory carriageways of the roundabouts.

ORDER 2 (A2175): Will be to implement a no waiting at any time restriction on A3222 Welborne Link Road between its junction with A32 Wickham Road at Broadway Roundabout and its southern point of termination at the teardrop roundabout, including the circulatory carriageways of the roundabouts.

ORDER 3 (A2176): Will be to:

(i) prohibit entry from A3222 Welborne Link Road (at its junction with the westbound off-slip onto the teardrop roundabout) onto the M27 westbound off-slip.

(ii) prohibit entry from A3222 Welborne Link Road (at its junction with the eastbound off-slip onto A3222 Welborne Link Road) onto the M27 eastbound off-slip.

The Hampshire (A3222, Welborne Link Road, Fareham) (No Entry) Order 2026.
