TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make the above Order.
- The effect of the Order will be to close Thomas Lewis Way (left turn/inbound slip for southbound traffic) from its junction with Stoneham Way to 20m south of its junction with Stoneham Way.
- The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are for carriageway repairs.
- The alternative route will be High Road, Thomas Lewis Way, Portswood Road and Mayfield Road.
- The Order will come into force on 13th July 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 13th July 2026.
