Brampton - Temporary Road Closure Due To Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C1046 AND A6071 BRAMPTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable resurfacing works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along the following sections of road:
1. C1046, Brampton from its junction with the A6071, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 140m; and
2. A6071 Brampton, from its junction with the CI025, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 730m.
A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the A6071, CI046, and the A69.

The Order will come into operation on 17 July 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 2 weeks and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
