What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (CI030 WALTON, U2121 BRANTHWAITE AND CI013 EASTON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

1. CI030 Walton, from its junction with the C1013, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 470m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the CI030, A6071 Newtown and CI013.

Duration: From 16 July 2026 for approx. 2 days between 0830 and 1630 hours, each day (Ref: TTROC/1865)

2. U2121 Branthwaite, from a point approx. 280 metres southeast of its junction with the U2128, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 130m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U2121, U2128 and B5299.

Duration: From 3 August 2026 for approx. 2 days between 0830 and 1630 hours, each day (Ref: TTROC/19016)

3. U1013 Easton, from its junction with the CI006, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 430m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U1013, CI007 and CI006.

Duration: From 10 August 2026 for approx. 2 days between 0830 and 1630 hours, each day (Ref: TTROC/19072)

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times

The Order will come into operation on 16 July 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
