(TEMPORARY WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING RESTRICTIONS ON VARIOUS ROADS IN WATFORD DURING THE ‘TASTE OF THE CARIBBEAN’ EVENT) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicles from waiting, loading and unloading at any time on both sides of the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), when signs are in place:-
- that length of Cassiobury Park Avenue, Watford from its junction with A412 Rickmansworth north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Gade Avenue, a distance of approximately 1007m.
- that length of Gade Avenue, Watford from its junction with A412 Rickmansworth Road north westwards, north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length.
- that length of Swiss Avenue, Watford from its junction with Cassiobury Park Avenue south westwards to its junctions with Gade Avenue, a distance of approximately 318m.
- that length of Shepherds Road, Watford from its junction with A412 Rickmansworth Road north westwards to its junction with Cassiobury Park Avenue, a distance of approximately 295m.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure public safety and prevent accidents for the duration of the ‘Taste of the Caribbean’ event.
The Order will come into effect from 11 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The event is scheduled for 1 day and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ABBOTS LANGLEY PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.070) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Abbots Langley Public Footpath No.070 from its junction with Deans Close south westwards for a distance of approximately 66m (“the Public Footpath”).
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south west side of Deans Close, the footway situated on the south east side of Broomfield Rise, Abbots Langley Public Footpath No,071 and the footpath fronting Nos.54-68 Hazelwood Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpath.
The Order will come into effect from 13 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON VARIOUS ROADS IN SOUTH OXHEY AND ABBOTS LANGLEY) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
- that length of Culverden Road, South Oxhey from its junction with Embleton Road north eastwards and north westwards for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via Embleton Road, Gosforth Lane and Blairhead Drive.
- that length of Breakspear Road, Abbots Langley from its junction with Popes Road north eastwards to its junction with Adrian Road, a distance of approximately 325m.
An alternative route will be via Popes Road, Gallows Hill Lane, High Street and Adrian Road.
- that length of Garden Road, Abbots Langley from its junction with Breakspear Road north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
- that length of Harrogate Road, South Oxhey from its junction with Hayling Road south eastwards to its junction with Gosforth Lane, a distance of approximately 128m.
An alternative route will be via Hayling Road, B4542 Prestwick Road, Fairfield Avenue and Gosforth Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect on 13 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF OLD HOUSE LANE, ABBOTS LANGLEY) ORDER NO.2 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Old House Lane, Abbots Langley from its junction with Langleybury Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 130m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Old House Lane, Langleybury Lane, Fir Tree Hill, Redhall Lane, Chandlers Lane, Toms Hill, Bucks Hill and Old House Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 13 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WHIPPENDELL ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Whippendell Road, Watford from its junction with Cassiobridge Road north westwards to its junction with Printers Avenue, a distance of approximately 33m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Whippendell Road, Hagden Lane, A412 Rickmansworth Road, Ascot Road and Whippendell Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 16 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ALDENHAM ROAD, ELSTREE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Aldenham Road, Elstree from a point 380m north west of its junction with A411 Watford Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 291m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Aldenham Road, A411 (Watford Road/Elstree Road), A41 Tylers Way, Dagger Lane and Aldenham Road.
The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 29 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 6 weeks to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
- that length of Bushey Mill Crescent, Watford from its westernmost junction with Bushey Mill Lane north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 560m.
An alternative route will be via Bushey Mill Lane.
- that length of A412 Watford Road, Croxley Green from its junction with the Baldwins Lane roundabout south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with the A412 Scots Hill/The Green roundabout, a distance of approximately 2013m.
An alternative route will be via A412 (St Albans Road/Rickmansworth Road), A4178 (Cassio Road/Merton Road/Wiggenhall Road/Deacons Hill), A4125 (Eastbury Road/Hampermill Lane/Sandy Lane), B469 Green Lane, A4125 (Church Road/High Street), A404 (Pinner Road/Rickmansworth Road/London Road/Church Street/Riverside Drive) and A412 (Rectory Road/Park Road/Scots Hill) or via A412 (Scots Hill/Park Road/Rectory Road), A414 (Riverside Drive/Church Street/London Road/Rickmansworth Road/Pinner Road), A4125 (High Street/Church Road), B469 Green Lane, A4125 (Sandy Lane/Hampermill Lane/Eastbury Road), A4178 (Deacons Hill/Wiggenhall Road/Farraline Road/Fearnley Street/The Hornets/Merton Road/Cassio Road) and A412 (Rickmansworth Road/Watford Road).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 29 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 21 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VALLEY ROAD, RICKMANSWORTH) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Valley Road, Rickmansworth from a point in line with the north western boundary of No.97 Valley Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Valley Road, The Drive, Nightingale Road, A404 (Chorleywood Road/Rickmansworth Road), Dog Kennel Lane, Berry Lane and Valley Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CONTRAFLOW CYCLE LANE SITUATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF ASCOT ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cyclists from using the contraflow cycle lane situated on the west side of Ascot Road, Watford from its junction with the access road leading to ‘Community Free School’ north westwards for a distance of approximately 200m (“the Contraflow Cycle Lane”).
Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.
The Order is needed because the installation of cycle wands is proposed to be executed on or near the Contraflow Cycle Lane.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-
- that length of A41 North Western Avenue, Woodside and A41 North Western Avenue/Colne Way/Otterspool Way, Watford from its junction with the A41 Dome roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the A41/(M1) Berrygrove roundabout, a distance of approximately 1915m.
An alternative route will be via A41 North Western Avenue, A411 (Hempstead Road/Hyde Road/The Avenue/Beechen Grove) and A4008 Stephenson Way or via A4008 Stephenson Way, A411 (Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove/Hempstead Road) and A41 North Western Avenue.
- the A41 northbound slip road leading onto A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way, Watford from its junction with the A4008 Stephenson Way/(M1) (junction 5) roundabout north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way, a distance of approximately 420m.
An alternative route will be via A4008 Stephenson Way, A411 (Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove/Hempstead Road) and A41 North Western Avenue.
- the A41 southbound slip road leading onto the A4008 Stephenson Way/(M1) (junction 5) roundabout, from its junction with A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 426m.
An alternative route will be via A41 North Western Avenue, A411 (Hempstead Road/Hyde Road/The Avenue/Beechen Grove) and A4008 Stephenson Way.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, BUSHEY) (20 MPH ZONE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions and a 20 mph zone in parts of Bushey as specified in the Schedules to this Notice.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 26 June 2026 during office hours, at Main Reception, Farnham House, Stevenage, or on-line at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Hertsmere and looking at Ref: H00126.
