TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – PRESTONVILLE ROAD, BRIGHTON
NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-
(a) The temporary closure of Prestonville Road, Brighton, from its junction with Howard Terrace, in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 40 metres.
(b) To maintain access, for the duration of this closure, it will also be necessary to suspend the One-way Order on Prestonville Road, Brighton, for its entire length.
- The Order is necessary to allow contractors to carry out works to lay a new gas service. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.
- This Order comes into force on 13 July 2026 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 21 July 2026.
