THE OLDHAM EDWARD STREET PROHIBITION OF WAITING ORDER 2026
The Oldham Borough Council on 1st July 2026 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit waiting at all times on the west side from Middleton Road for 21.4 metres south westerly and on the east side from Middleton Road for 27.5 metres south westerly. The Order will come into operation on 8th July 2026.
A copy of the Order and a map showing the lengths of road referred to and a copy of the Council's statement of reasons may be examined at my office between the hours of 8.40am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday Telephone 0161 770 3019 Spindles Oldham Ref: LJM/AE/TO26/2 VF25931.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date hereof apply to the High Court for the purpose.
