What is happening?
City of Stoke-on-Trent
(Traffic Regulation) (Various Provisions) (No.5) Order, 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Stoke on Trent propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2,3, 4, 45, 46 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984. The effect of this Order is as follows:-
1. To prohibit the stopping of any vehicle except Taxis in South Wolfe Street (West Side) 40 metres north east of Flemming Road for 15 metres
2. To introduce double yellow lines in the following locations:
a) Brick House Street (North Side) from Brick House Street for 29 metres
b) Queen Street (North Side) 52 metres west of Brick House Street to St Johns Square
c) Queen Street (South Side) (i) from Bournes Bank for 92 metres (ii) from William Clowes Street for 13 metres
d) South Wolfe Street (North-West Side) from Church Street for 67 metres
e) South Wolfe Street (West Side) from Fleming Road for 40 metres
3. To introduce Pay And Display parking places Restricted to 3hrs, No return within 1hr, 7am-6pm and upto 13hrs between 6pm- 7am in sections of Queen Street as described below:
a) (North Side) between points 68 metres and 91 metres west of Clayhanger Street
b) (South Side) between points 92 metres and 115 metres west of Bourne Banks
4. To revoke the provisions in so far as they are affected by the restrictions imposed by this Order.
