SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(MARTIN WAY)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement works in Martin Way, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Martin Way.

During the works no person would:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in a south-easterly direction in Martin Way between its junction with Bushey Road and the common boundary of Nos. 345 and 343;

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicles in the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

3. During the works the bus stop located within the length of Martin Way specified in sub- paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended and relocated.

4. The restrictions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. Nothing in the Order would apply: -

(a) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(b) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes subject to site conditions; or

(d) so as to prevent access to premises in or adjacent to the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2 above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

7. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Bushey Road, Grand Drive, Approach Road, Kingston Road, Morden Road, London Road and Crown Road.

8. The Order would come into operation on Monday 20 July 2026 with the works anticipated to be completed on 21 August 2026. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(CECIL ROAD, SW19)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate remedial works to rectify defects in the carriageway in Cecil Road, SW19, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter or proceed in Cecil Road, from its easternmost junction with Balfour Road, northward to a point 3 metres north of the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 3 Cecil Road;

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading, in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2 above will be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions and suspensions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Vehicular traffic affected by the closure should proceed via Balfour Road.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply:-

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order will come into operation on Monday 6th July 2026 with the works anticipated to be completed by Wednesday 8th July 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (VARIOUS ROADS)

(NO. 10)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate carriageway investigations and remedial works to be undertaken in the roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which, during the works, would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, proceeding or waiting, including in any parking places, in those roads or lengths of roads.

2. The London Borough of Merton Council also give notice that to facilitate a diversion route during the closure of Tamworth Lane, Mitcham imposed by a previously made temporary order for carriageway re-surfacing and maintenance works, the London Borough of Merton (Various Roads) (No. 10) (Temporary Restriction of Traffic) Order 2026 would also suspend the existing one-way in COMMONSIDE EAST, MITCHAM; at its junction with Spencer Road and allow two-way traffic from Wednesday 22nd July 2026 until Saturday 25th July 2026, inclusive between the hours of 8pm and 5am (3 nights).

3. Any designated parking place situated in any of the roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice would be suspended for the duration of the works in those roads or lengths of roads.

4. Alternative routes for diverted traffic would be indicated by advance warning and diversion signs on the roads affected when the works are in progress.

5. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of roads insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

7. The Order would come into force on Monday 20th July 2026 and the anticipated works dates are specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this notice. However, the Order would remain in operation for a maximum period of 12 months and its provisions may be re-introduced should further works be required.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement works in Botsford Road, SW20, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Botsford Road.

2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Botsford Road, on the west side, for its entire length, including the footway.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. The Order would come into operation on Monday 6 July 2026 and would remain in force for 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The works are anticipated to be completed on 24 July 2026.
