The GLA Roads and GLA Side Roads (Croydon) Red Route Consolidation Traffic Order 2007 Various Roads (Electric Vehicle Charging Points) Variation Order 2026
- Transport for London hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The general nature and effect of the Order will be to:
(1) introduce a 5.5 metre No Stopping At Any Time Except Charging of Electric Vehicles Only max 1 hour no return within 2 hours Bay and a 2 metre No Stopping at Any Time restriction (Double Red Lines) on the south side of the unnamed service road fronting Nos. 794 to 844 Wickham Road outside of No.800 Wickham Road shortening the existing Parking & Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay by 7.5 metres at the west end;
(2) introduce two 5.5 metre No Stopping At Any Time Except Charging of Electric Vehicles Only max 1 hour no return within 2 hours Bays and a 2 metre No Stopping at Any Time restriction (Double Red Lines) on the north side of the unnamed service road fronting The Church and Orchard Court, Wickham Road outside of Nos. 5 to 6 Orchard Court, Wickham Road and Nos. 7 to 8 Orchard Court, Wickham Road shortening the existing Parking & Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay by 13 metres at the north-west end;
(3) introduce two 5.5 metre No Stopping At Any Time Except Charging of Electric Vehicles Only max 1 hour no return within 2 hours Bays and a 2 metre No Stopping at Any Time restriction (Double Red Lines) on the south & west side of Godstone Road outside of Nos. 10 and 12 Godstone Road shortening the existing Parking & Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay by 13 metres at the west end;
(4) introduce a 6 metre No Stopping At Any Time Except Charging of Electric Vehicles Only max 1 hour no return within 2 hours Bay and a 2 metre No Stopping at Any Time restriction (Double Red Lines) on the south-west side of Godstone Road at the rear of Legion House, Kenly Road splitting the existing Parking & Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay by 8 metres;
(5) introduce a 5 metre No Stopping At Any Time Except Charging of Electric Vehicles Only max 1 hour no return within 2 hours Bay on the south side of Wickham Road outside No. 574 Wickham Road shortening the existing Parking & Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay by 5 metres at the east end.
- The roads which would be affected by the Order is the A232 and A22 GLA Main Road and Side Roads – Wickham Road and Godstone Road in the London Borough of Croydon.
- A copy of the Order, a statement of Transport for London’s reasons for the proposals, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected by visiting our website at https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/tro and selecting the relevant borough and reference the Traffic Order relates to or by appointment during normal office hours at our office at the address below. - All objections and other representations to the proposed Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. Objections and representations must be sent to Transport for London, Streets Traffic Order Team, Palestra, 197 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8NJ or by emailing trafficordersection@tfl.gov.uk quoting reference SNOREGULATION/STOT/JW/TRO/GLA/2026/0231, to arrive before 16th July 2026. Please note due to hybrid working access to post is restricted and requests for documents and confirmation of your objections or representations may be delayed. Objections and other representations may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
