NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 COUNTY OF DEVON DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL (FOOTPATH NO. 2, BERE FERRERS) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION & DEFINITIVE MAP & STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that, having caused written representations to be exchanged, the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has decided to confirm the above Order.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting part of Footpath No. 2, Bere Ferrers from a line running through the garden area of Shutecombe Barn Cottage close to the buildings near the village of Bere Ferrers, to a line running through the garden area of Shutecombe Barn Cottage further north of the buildings, in the parish of Bere Ferrers and administrative district of West Devon.
A copy of the Order and the Order map may be inspected free of charge by appointment with:- Devon County Council, Great Moor House, Sowton, Exeter between 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday – Friday. To arrange an appointment please contact the case officer on 01392 383240 or prow@devon.gov.uk; at the offices of West Devon Borough Council, Kilworthy Park, Drake Road, Tavistock, PL19 0BZ, between 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday; on request from the Clerk to Bere Ferrers Parish Council; or online at https://www.devon.gov.uk/haveyoursay.
A copy of the Order and the Order map can also be sent to you by post free of charge by contacting the case officer on 01392 383240. An application for any of the reasons stated in Paragraph 12(1) of Schedule 15 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 may be made to the High Court to quash the Order within 42 days of the date of publication of this Notice.
