(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
WESTBROOK ROAD, THORNTON HEATH
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
- Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate foul water connection works they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic on Westbrook Road.
- Whilst the said works are taking place Westbrook Road will be closed outside Nos. 31 and 33 Westbrook Road.
- The Order will come into operation on 01 July 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out within twelve days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The restriction will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
- During the closure the diversion routes for traffic will be as detailed below.
- Via Howberry Road, Burlington Road, and vice versa.
- Via Howberry Road, Northwood Road, Beauchamp Road, Moffat Road, and vice versa.
- The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

WHITWORTH ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
- Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cleaning and CCTV survey works, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic in Whitworth Road.
- Whilst the said works are taking place Whitworth Road will be closed at its junction with Selhurst Road.
- During the closure the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below.
- Via Selhurst Road, Upper Grove, Holmesdale Road and vice versa.
- Via Selhurst Road, Oliver Grove, Holmesdale Road and vice versa.
- The restriction shall not apply in respect of.
(a) any vehicles involved in conducting the said work.
(b) a vehicle attending for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police Constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer. - The Order will come into operation on 25 June 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out within two days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further work be required.

- Peaks Hill closure – Via Woodcote Drive, Great Woodcote Park, and Church Road, or via Plough Lane, The Bridle Road, Foxley Lane and Peaks Hill Rise.
- Peaks Hill closure – Via Church Road, Church Hill, and Plough Lane, or via Peaks Hill Rise, The Bridle Road, and Plough Lane.
- Peaks Hill Rise closure – Via Peaks Hill, Woodcote Drive, and Foxley Lane, or via Peaks Hill, Plough Lane, The Bridle Road, and Foxley Lane.
- The Order will come into operation on 29 June 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed as detailed above. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
- The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle involved in conducting the said work.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
- Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate telecoms’ works, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Brighton Road, South Croydon.
- During the work the cycle lane on the east side of Brighton Road will be closed between the common boundaries of Nos. 139 and 141 and Nos. 149 and 151 Brighton Road.
- Whilst the cycle lane closure remains in force cyclists will be diverted into the main carriageway.
- The Order will come into operation on 15 July 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 16 July 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
- The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.

FAIRMEAD ROAD, CROYDON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
- Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate cable pit inspection works by UKPN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic and parking in Fairmead Road, Croydon.
- Whilst the said works are taking place:
(a) Fairmead Road will be closed between its junctions with Chapman Road and Onslow Road.
(b) Parking on Fairmead Road between its junctions with Chapman Road and Onslow Road will be suspended, and waiting and loading restrictions prohibiting waiting and loading at any time will apply on both sides of that section of the road. - During the closure, the alternative route for traffic will be as detailed below.
- Via Onslow Road, Effingham Road, Miller Road, Thomson Crescent, Euston Road, and Allen Road.
- The Order will come into operation on 09 July 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 31 July 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
- These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
